1:144 Scale In and Out is a unique book dedicated exclusively to 1:144 scale dollhouse
miniatures. It covers all aspects of working in this tiny scale with lots of color photos to inspire you. Dollhouse
kit assembly, finishing, furnishing, decorating the interior--as well as landscaping the exterior--are all discussed at length.
Tools, scale chart, tips, and projects for creating accessories are also covered. Profiles of 1:144 scale artisans
and samples of their work are included, as well as a resource list. It is chuck full of micro mini knowledge
and wisdom to make your journey into building tinier and tinier much less frustrating--and more enjoyable than the journey
of those who came before and had to learn by trial and error.
Authors Anita McNary and Nertha Gaal had worked in the 1:12 scale for many years before scaling down and specializing
in the "dollhouse for a dollhouse" scale. They are well known in the online community of the dollhouse miniatures world for
their efforts to promote the scale. Through Micro Minis, the group they created (originally part
of Suzanne Black's Mini Scenes And Things online groups), they have made the 1:144 scale more accessible to everyone. Many miniaturists around
the globe have been inspired and encouraged to give the micro scale a try by Anita, Nertha, Frances Armstrong,
and other talented artisans who specialize in 1:144th.

"Hi Anita and Nertha,
My good friend Elizabeth and I ordered your book and it arrived earlier this week....I have just
been over to her house today to pick it up....it's great!!!
Thank you so much for all the work you have put into it, and for sharing all of the fabulous ideas.
It is so hard to find info and supplies, etc, here in New Zealand, so a book with lots of ideas and tips is brilliant!!
Thank you again, Kate in New Zealand"

"I have the book and have referred to it numerous times, a great book for all makers of micro

"Everyone, for those who haven't purchased Anita McNary and Nertha Gaal's book, "144th Scale
In and Out" and need ideas and help in this scale, I suggest you send for one ASAP. I've never made a 144th scale item
and am now eager to try my hand at it!
I hope someday they will do volume 2.....lol.
Thanks for all the time and effort that went into it.
Thelma in southern Utah."

If anybody hasn't bought this little gem yet, buy it! It is worth its weight in gold, even
for working in the larger scales. I've read and reread mine so many times it is getting ratty looking. <VBG>
When I bought it last spring, I was still very new to teeny tiny houses and furnishings,
and this book has saved me countless hours of trial and error.
Thanks to both of you special ladies for putting together what I lovingly refer to as the "Idiot's
Guide to Building Smaller Than You Ever Thought Possible" book!
***** This is an unpaid and unsolicited endorsement, brought to you by Chris in Canada,
who would have lost what is left of her mind and her eyesight trying to work in 144th scale, had she not found this book.
